A virtual reality tour inside the White House is available, you can sit with the former US president or visit Old Family Dining with Michelle Obama
After Trump’s victory someone may have wondered: and now what will Obama do? Well, if you are in possession of a VR visor of the latest generation, he could be your cicerone in a virtual reality tour inside the White House. And in the visit you will also be accompanied by former first-lady Michelle Obama.
Through Samsung Gear VR or with Facebook’s Oculus you can take a 360-degree tour of the White House, including the Oval Office and the other rooms that make up the residence of the President of the United States. Currently you can take a total of eight minutes of the tour but the tour is expected to become complete by the end of the year. Obama has endorsed the idea and stated that the virtual reality tour will bring Americans even closer to the White House. And it is precisely to capitalize on the president’s statements that the tour was released on Facebook before the completion of the handover between one president and another. Although the version available is not made in full.
Everyone can visit the White House
The tour is still available for everyone, through smartphones and tablets, although the appeal of the 360° experience with a VR viewer is more recommended. It was made by Felix & Paul Studios, a company also run by director Félix Lajeunesse. The same company that a few months ago had worked and made a virtual reality tour inside Yosemite National Park, just in the company of the Obama family. The tour itself takes viewers to eight different areas of the White House. You sit across from Barack Obama in the Oval Office. Michelle Obama sits across the table from you in Old Family Dining. The formal dining room inside the White House.
