Nintendo Switch shows itself: here’s how the Japanese console will look like

With a video launched on its official website, the Japanese company has shown for the first time how its new jewel will be used

Eccola. Finally. With a video posted on its YouTube account, the Japanese company has shown for the first time its new console, putting an end to all the rumors of recent days. Many novelties. Starting with the name: not Nintendo NX but Nintendo Switch.

Already from the name you can guess what the Japanese company has focused on: in fact, Nintendo Switch is the most versatile console there is. It can be used at home by mounting it on a dock station, you can take it on the train by inserting the two mini joysticks developed by Nintenndo. But that’s not all, you can challenge yourself in multiplayer to give life to battles to the last breath. In short, a truly chameleon console, capable of adapting to any situation. Let’s find out more in detail what offers us the new Nintendo Switch.

Technical Features

It could only be the first protagonist of the Nintendo Switch. In fact, the video opens with a few snippets of the new video game of The Legend of Zelda, a title that has been awaited for some time but that has been shown in video only in recent months. The features offered by Nintendo Switch are really a lot: meanwhile it can be used comfortably in front of the TV at home using the two different joypads given in equipment. One more traditional and similar to the various controllers available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox, the other, however, can be “attached” to the sides of the console and turn Nintendo Switch into a portable device. But that’s not all. In fact, the two mini joysticks can also be used for exciting challenges in multiplayer. Games can be inserted into a slot on the edges of the device.

The future is e-sports

Nintendo’s strategy is very clear: the future is e-sports. The video ends with an exciting challenge inside a sports hall. For some years now, e-sports are conquering more and more public and Nintendo seems to want to ride the wave. Nintendo Switch seems to be a very interesting project that will give the possibility to “gamers” to switch between the different possibilities offered: home living room consoles, but also travel consoles. The 2 in 1 according to Nintendo. The console will be marketed from March 2017.
