Lenovo, here is the new Yoga A12: Android tablet with holographic keyboard

The Chinese company will release from February 8 the younger brother of its Yoga Book, on board we find Intel Atom x5 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory

Lenovo last year had surprised experts and consumers with its Yoga Book. An ultra-thin hybrid tablet with Windows and Android operating system. Now the Chinese company is trying again with the cheaper version of the same device. It is Lenovo Yoga A12.

The Chinese company has been working hard to make a less expensive version of its Yoga Book. Compared to the Book, the Yoga A12 has a larger screen, 12.2 inches versus 10.1. That’s quite a step up. The device will weigh less than a kilo and will have a maximum thickness of 5.4 millimeters. To strike in addition to the new display is the usual Halo holographic keyboard. From Lenovo guarantee maximum usability of the device thanks to the learning of typing. Of course, like its big brother A12 has a 360-degree hinge to convert from notebook to tablet.

Features and price

Yoga A12 will mount an Intel Atom x5 processor, supported by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. We then find two Dolby Atmos speakers and from Lenovo guarantee a battery life of 13 hours. The Yoga Book, on the other hand, has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with a battery life of up to 15 hours. Unlike its big brother, the Yoga A12 will come to market with Android operating system. So without the Windows version. With Android will be guaranteed the three-column multi-window mode for multitasking. The device will be sold in two different colors: pink gold and gunmetal gray. Lenovo will open sales on its site from February 8. Yoga A12 will be launched at a price of $299. That’s quite a drop from the $499 of the Yoga Book.
