The Samsung Galaxy F will be presented on February 20 in San Francisco: here are the features of the smartphone and the list price
If the official video published a few days ago by Samsung had ignited curiosity, the 3D renderings published by the blog LetsGoDigital satisfy every imagination: the Samsung Galaxy F, in addition to being foldable, will present several innovations in terms of design and form factor.
Waiting for the official day of the announcement, set for next February 20, the images give life to the anticipations that have come out in recent weeks about the Galaxy F. The Korean company so far has been very good at keeping hidden the features of its first foldable smartphone, but some information has still been leaked. The device will consist of an OLED screen capable of folding in two, will have a battery with a capacity of almost 5,000mAh and a photo module consisting of three sensors. For the price we speak of a figure close to 2000 euros. A decidedly high cost, but normal for an innovative device in many respects.
Samsung Galaxy F: the characteristics
As for the technical specifications, the foldable Galaxy F phone should present a 7.3-inch display with a resolution of 1.536 x 2,152 pixels. The screen can fold in half, opening and closing as if it were a book, so that the user can use the device as both a smartphone and a tablet.
The photographic compartment is also innovative. There will be no front-facing camera, but a single rear camera module composed of three sensors. The main lens will be 16 megapixels, while the two secondary ones will be dedicated to zoom and wide-angle shots. The batteries of the Galaxy F should be two that will provide a capacity of about 5,000mAh.
2019, the year of foldable phones
Samsung will be the first manufacturer to launch a flexible smartphone in 2019. But it won’t be the only one. Just four days away (on February 24), Huawei will also launch its foldable device: it will do so in an event organized during the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, the most important exhibition dedicated to the mobile world. By the end of the year, other foldable smartphones will also arrive: LG, Motorola and Xiaomi are working on this sector.
