Segway launches a new mid-range electric scooter that’s lightweight and has big, puncture-proof wheels. Here are all the technical features
Segway is back: there’s a new electric scooter in the family, the Ninebot E22E. And soon there will be more, because with the Ninebot E22E the new E series debuts. These are mid-range models for purely urban use, characterized by very large wheels and puncture-proof thanks to special tires.
The tires, in fact, are 9 inches (compared to 6 inches of most scooters for the city) and double density. The urban use is favored by a fairly low weight and all the equipment required by law in terms of lights and reflectors: front, rear and brake LED lights E-MARK and reflectors E-MARK front, side and rear to maximize the visibility of this vehicle, and its driver, even in the dark. There is also a push-button bell and Bluetooth connectivity to connect the electric scooter to your smartphone (and update its firmware).
As for the rest, the Ninebot E22E is a mid-range scooter that, however, like all Segway products, has a decidedly “premium” price compared to the fierce Chinese competition.
Ninebot E22E: technical characteristics
The Ninebot E22E weighs 13.5 kilograms and has a 300 Watt motor power, which allows it to tackle slopes up to 15% (if you don’t weigh too much), powered by a 184Wh (5100 mAh) battery that allows it to travel up to 22 kilometers on a charge (which takes three and a half hours). You can also buy an additional battery, which brings the range to 45 kilometers. It has three driving modes and cruise control and can touch the maximum speed of 22 kilometers per hour.
