WWDC 2017, Apple could present the new MacBook Pro

According to the latest rumors, Apple will present three new laptops at WWDC: the MacBook Pro, a 12-inch MacBook and the MacBook Air

To stem the competition, namely Microsoft and its range Surface, Apple could, according to the latest rumors, decide to present the new MacBooks in a few weeks. And the perfect opportunity would be the Worldwide Developers Conference, the conference dedicated to developers.

To launch the anticipation is Bloomberg on its website, which speaks of three portable devices. The Californian company, according to this news, will unveil a new version of the MacBook Pro, one of the 12-inch MacBook and, finally, one of the MacBook Air. The first laptop should not undergo major changes from the point of view of, let’s say, aesthetics. The new Macbook Pro, again referring to the rumors, will get some hardware improvements. In particular, if the “leaks” are confirmed, the Cupertino laptop will mount a faster Kaby Lake processor (Intel’s seventh-generation chips).

The new MacBook and MacBook Air

Also regarding the other two laptops, which will presumably be launched at WWDC, the only news should concern the internal features. The 12” MacBook will have, like the MacBook Pro, a faster processor. The same goes for the 13-inch MacBook Air, to which the chip will always be updated. At the moment, however, we do not know more, given the confidentiality in which the company founded by Steve Jobs is closed. And even Intel, the other protagonist called into question by the rumors, silent. No one, however, has denied, which would suggest that the news is not actually without foundation.

Fear of Microsoft?

The choice of Apple to present from the Worldwide Developers Conference, which will begin June 5 in San Jose, three new devices appears strategic. Behind Cupertino’s move could be an attempt to compete with the Surface Laptop, Microsoft’s latest notebook.
