What will the Galaxy S11 look like

The Galaxy S11 could have a very special photographic compartment with three cameras, a spectrometer and a depth sensor

We are still a long time away from the official presentation of the next top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy S11 smartphone, which will almost certainly take place in the second half of February 2020, but already many are indulging in renderings of what could be the final model.

The latest such concept, based on the information leaked so far, is the one elaborated by Phone Arena. This design hypothesis involves a very clean and uncluttered rear, in stark contrast to a very flashy color scheme. Complex the rear photo department, all horizontally, which includes an ultra wide lens, one with a narrower angle and a telephoto zoom of 5X. Immediately to the right the spectrometer and, below, the LED flash and depth sensors. The display, on the other hand, will be full-screen with ultra-thin bezels and a tiny circular notch at the top center. Will this really be the final Samsung Galaxy S11?

Samsung Galaxy S11: what we know so far

The Phone Arena rendering comes from the sum of several rumors about the design and technical features of the Galaxy 2020. At the moment it is assumed that Samsung will also replicate the range next year with three models, which will then be the Galaxy S11, Galaxy S11+ and Galaxy S11e. It is conceivable that Samsung will mount on the next S11 the new 108 Mpixel lens developed with Xiaomi and already integrated in the Mi Mix Alpha concept. The spectrometer, if it will be confirmed in the final model, could have several uses: from alcohol sensor to scanning skin or objects to get specific information, perhaps processed with artificial intelligence algorithms and enriched by virtual reality. Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S11 should support 45-watt fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging to charge other devices with the smartphone’s battery.

Samsung Galaxy S11: when it comes out

It’s still not sure when Samsung will officially unveil its new Galaxy. It is almost certain, however, that the presentation will take place in the second half of February: some analysts are leaning towards an event within the Mobile World Congress 2020 to be held in Barcelona from February 24 to 27, while others believe that Samsung will organize a conference specifically for the Galaxy S11, a Samsung Unpacked that will probably be held on February 18.
