New features coming to Instagram: live and Reels can now count on their own statistics. Through the introduction of the new data, creators will have the opportunity to get even more in-depth feedback on the effectiveness of content launched via social, allowing them to create more engaging and appealing proposals.
To discover the integration of metrics dedicated to these two particular formats was the website Engadget. This is a very useful additional tool, especially for those users who have set up their presence on the platform in the style of a professional showcase, to promote services and products. In this way, in addition to drawing specific information for published posts viewable by other users on the timeline or in the profile, these figures will be able to take advantage of a wider range of information coming also from those sections that focus mainly on videos as opposed to static styles represented by photos and graphics.
Statistics of Live and Reels Instagram, how they work
Similarly to what happens with individual posts, Reels and Live now have a specific detail page available for each content. Thus, it is possible to rely on a punctual comparison for each of the videos made and not exclusively an overview, which is not very useful in terms of pervasiveness.
With regard to the first format, the criteria taken into account are the accounts reached, the reproductions of the clips, the likes and comments received, the saves in the collections and the shares. Live videos collect, in addition to the already mentioned information on comments and shares, also total coverage and peak views at the same time.
With the occasion, Instagram has thought about a restyling of the general section of Insight, redesigning the structure dedicated to the reach that now divides the interactions with the content of follower and non-follower accounts. Another new feature is the classification of posts by coverage and type of interaction, allowing a more in-depth overview of user engagement.
Insight of live and Reels Instagram, when they arrive
Instagram has already started the rollout of the new features that, according to Engadget, should appear in the metrics of business profiles in the coming months, both from the application and via web from desktop browser that, in the future, will allow the publication of posts.
The expansion of the features comes at a rather delicate time for Instagram. Just a few weeks ago, the entry into force of Apple’s App Tracking Transparency policy with the 14.5 release of the iOS operating system actually put a limit on statistical information, requiring members themselves to give permission to be able to record all behaviors kept on the platform. A crucial limitation that, while clearly protecting the privacy of users, risks losing important data for the creators of social and beyond.
