As per tradition, the arrival of season 7 of Fortnite has brought with it numerous changes to the game map of the survival title of Epic Games.
The new setting in which they will have to move oni of gamers who daily connect to the servers of Epic Games will obviously have clear references to winter.
The map of Fortnite 7 is inspired by Christmas and in general by the icy winter. We find in fact places called Polar Peak, Frozen Ramps or Borgallegro. This, however, is only the last change to which the map of the most famous game of 2018 has gone through. In the course of the various seasons, in fact, designers and developers Epic Games have always updated the map, introducing novelties of various kinds. In this last case, for example, the developers have justified the arrival of the winter season in their game scenario because of a giant iceberg, already spotted in the distance by several users in season 6in the southwest area of the Fortnite map. But how has the Fortnite map changed over the course of the various seasons? Let’s see together.
How the map of Fortnite has changed in the various seasons
For the map of Fortnite is only the latest incredible transformation, from the first season to date in fact has been repeatedly modified and radically changed. Just think of the scenario quite repetitive and “classic” of season one of Fortnite, where we find a lake, a forest and some small places of interest. With the success of the video game even the map has changed to adapt to the many players. The first more elaborate buildings such as towers appeared, then the swampy areas, and also the first events such as falling asteroids and the like that led to a continuous modification of the map while continuing the tradition of the game.
In recent times then appeared more and more special scenarios created for new weapons and new objects, such as the desert, the reconstruction of the old west and so on. In addition, the map has begun to take on very specific characteristics according to the various sections. If at the beginning nature was constant except in some specific places, now each section of the map has its own climate, its own scenery and consequently its own playability. With season 7 we will see for the first time the winter theme on Fortnite with the inclusion of the whole area defined as Polar Peak in the southwest, in contrast to the desert scenery in the southeast. But the real question is what should we expect from Fortnite’s map in the future?
