The alternative ways to activate “Ok Google”

There are alternative words to activate Google Assistant and all the devices on which it is present. Here’s what they are

If you have an Android smartphone or a device that supports Google Assistant (such as Google Home smart speakers), you’ve probably activated it by mistake. A few times while you’re talking to some friend on the phone or with your child at home, we hear the voice of Google Assistant activating and asking us what it can help us with. The journalists of 9to5Google have carried out a test: activate the Google Home by saying phrases that sound similar to the “magic words” that activate Google Assistant, but in reality have a completely different meaning. An example? Try saying next to your Android smartphone the words “Hey Goo Goo” and see what happens. Within seconds, the voice assistant will be activated and you’ll be able to interact with it. The alternative words to activate Google Home

The test carried out by 9to5Google journalists identified 17 alternative words to activate Google Assistant. There are some that always work, such as “Hey Goo Goo”, while others that very often misfire, such as Ok Goku. A lot depends on the sensitivity of the microphone and the smartphone. Alternative words also include “Okee Doodle”, “Ok Boo Boo”, “Hey Goo Goo”, “Hey Noodel”, “Eggo Waffle”. “Ok Frugal” and “Hey Nurgle”.

In fact, in addition to the 17 words found by 9to5Google, there are many others that allow you to activate Google Home, including Italian ones. The Jackal made a video a while ago in which they showed how to activate Google Assistant by simply saying “Ok Ugo”. Watching the video on the Android smartphone, every time “Ok Ugo” was said, the virtual assistant activated. Aside from Ok Ugo, there are many other words that sound similar to “Ok Google” that allow you to activate Google Assistant. All it takes is some testing.
