Huawei is ready to launch the new Nova 7 series, three low-cost smartphones with a good photo compartment. Here are the features and the price
Initially expected for last April 7, the new Nova 7 series phones from Huawei should be officially presented in a few days, next April 23, according to what the Chinese giant said. Huawei’s new Nova range will consist of three different versions: the standard one, a Pro and an SE variant. A teaser video posted on the official account of the Chinese manufacturer reveals a preview of the forms of what should be the Pro model: reduced bezels and dual front-facing cameras.
The photographic compartment will be one of the strong points of the new range of low-cost smartphones. As for the technical specifications there are still some doubts, but most of the components have been anticipated in recent days. Still unclear is the choice of chipsets made by the Chinese manufacturer. Apparently on the 7 and 7 Pro version the processor used should be the Kirin 985, a very recent SoC that has just debuted on the new Honor 30, while the Nova 7 SE should use the less performing variant, namely the Kirin 820.
Huawei Nova 7 and 7 Pro: technical specifications
Except for surprises, the two phones from the Japanese giant should feature a 6.5-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution. The expected chipset is the Kirin 985 paired with 8GB of RAM, 4,000 mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging and compatibility with 5G networks. The difference between the two different variants, Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro, lies in the towards photographic compartment: Nova 7 Pro would sport a dual front camera and rear camera with periscope zoom and 50-megapixel sensor, the Nova 7 a single 32-megapixel front camera and a quadruple camera at the rear with 64-megapixel lens and three sensors, two 8-megapixel and a last 2-megapixel.
Huawei Nova 7 SE: technical specifications
Huawai Nova 7 SE is dedicated to those who are looking for a low-cost smartphone, but with high performance. The display of the SE variant is expected to be a 6.5-inch LCD with FullHD+ resolution. Kirin 820 chipset combined with 8GB of RAM and two different storage capacities: 128GB and 256GB. The perforated display houses the 16-megapixel front camera, while the main sensor of the rear camera compartment is 64 megapixels. The battery is the same as the other two versions, always 4,000 mAh equipped with 40W fast charging. 5G connectivity, lateral fingerprint sensor, Android 10 operating system with EMUI 10.1 interface. Finally, four colors available: black, white, green and purple.
Huawei Nova 7: price and release date
The presentation date has been set: April 23, 2020. The devices will first be launched in China and only in a few months they will debut in Europe. The price is expected to start from a minimum of 300 euros for the Nova 7 SE to over 600 euros for the Nova 7.
