The Emojipedia service will soon release a new pack of emoji and emoticons that you can use in your various messaging apps and social networks
If the arrival of Spring wasn’t enough to make your days happier, know that Emojipedia, the encyclopedia of emoji and emoticons, has declared that by June all messaging services will be updated with new and funny symbols. Let’s see what will be the main news.
For those who don’t know Emojipedia is an online service from which you can download funny emoji and emoticons to be used on all your applications on any device, from iOS to Android but also on Windows or Mac computers. The service has announced that by next June a new full pack of funny symbols and smilies will be released. Some emoji have been released in preview to pique users’ interest. Although, Emojipedia stated that between now and the official release some emoji and emoticons might undergo changes or be deleted. Depending also on the responses and appreciations of the public.
The new emoji
The exact date of the next release should be June 30. A total of 137 new emoji will be present in this 5.0 package of Emojipedia. Among the funniest new faces we’ll have to find a volcano-style exploding head, one with crazy eyes, and another one that makes the gesture of remaining silent and will have the meaning of “Take care, keep the secret”. Among the new animals we will find a cute owl and a small T-Rex. In addition to a gecko and another dinosaur of unclear identification. There are numerous updates with respect to the symbols representing food. From pretzels to kebabs. Passing by soups of various types, spring rolls and ravioli. The food is a sore point for Emojipedia, recently the service has suffered, in fact, several criticisms in Spain. The paella emoji, in fact, to all Spaniards seemed like a simple rice with something, and many took it as an insult to the country’s culinary tradition. So much so that the emoji was modified. That’s why Emojipedia in the new package wanted to release an important preview in order to avoid discussions and be able to remedy mistakes immediately.
