Create list of objects with JavaScript

I need to create a list of categories in HTML and Javascript. For example: I have an input, which will be where the user will enter the category name and then when you select the save category button, this category will be saved and will be listed in another screen. I wonder if anyone can tell me how to be doing this, or some video or tutorial.
