I need to search a string for a specific substring and for each occurrence found, I should perform a substitute action that was written in the bold version as listed, ignoring accent and case.
Example:
I have the list with the items:
- Rice
- Cheff's potato
- Pasta in the Sauce
- Salmon
Each letter entered suggestions of the list items will appear for the user to be able to select (typeahead), the accent will be ignored and will be insensitive.
If the user types "o" or "ao", the following items should be suggested:
- Potato to Cheff
- Macaroni No to Sauce
- Salm No
The list is returned according to the rules, but the bold text is due to highlighter
function, but when I type "ao" it does not ignore the accent and only makes bold what is 100% the same as typed. In the case of "Macaroni in the Sauce", it is either "Macaroni in Sauce" or "Macaroni in Sauce", I need to be both instances.
I think I need to scan the string for this substring and check for all possible accents, if I run a match I need to replace the text ão
and ao
with no and to , but I can not reach the code level in this solution.
