Would you recommend installing Chrome OS on my computer?

I wouldn't recommend it. Chrome OS is a great system and it's getting a lot of growth but I don't think you'd get much out of it by installing it on your main computer for now.
The only solution for installing Chrome OS on a pc is CloudReady, I tried it on an old laptop and it worked fine.
I would recommend that you buy a Chromebook, as they come with the system and are fully optimised and you'll get more out of it.

Yes as it is the best browser out there. Just be aware of its major flaw: it eats ram so if you have at least 8gb of ram go for it.
