Is the Windows boot sector in the reserved partition or in the system partition itself?

As I understand it the regular BIOS looks for boot information on track 0 of the hard drive for drives smaller than 2TB.
However the UEFI BIOS looks for that boot information on track 1 of the hard drive for drives larger than 2TB.
These tracks are physical and cannot be relocated. If for some reason the boot track is damaged, the disk can NOT be used for an operating system such as Windows. However, it can be used to store data.
