I have the following problem, I have a Delphi 7 application with paradox (I believe that with BD this also happens) that uses the pdoxusrs.net file, however other applications use it.
Someone can explain how this actually works, I'm looking for and find more troubleshooting than an explanation.
In short, this file is where all the BDEs on the local network block and release access to the records of the tables that an application is using (pessimistic lock). So it's important that the BDEs point to the same file, otherwise two applications might corrupt a table while trying to change it at the same time.
Well, question seems to be difficult to answer, so I went looking for an answer, I will not dare to translate the answer so as not to complicate, so follow the address where I found a more convincing answer than this file.
Most of the answer I find speaks of how to solve the problem and not understand what actually happens, so this is a clarification about some problems with this file.
