How to configure the WP Super Cache plugin?

1

Recently I installed the WP Super Cache plugin in a WordPress blog. In all the tutorials I found to set it up, they say the best option on the advanced tab is to use the mode: "Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files"

But when I choose this option, something strange is happening. All pages are being cached as the plugin promises to do.

But the home page, Home is not holding the cache, whenever it is updated a new cache is created, and overloading the server.

As you can see in the image, contrary to what many tutorials say, the plugin is saying that the recommended option is: Use PHP to serve cache files.

How is the right way to configure this plugin?
