Syntax error, unrecognized expression when calling a function with Jquery

I'm using EasyAutocomplete in my project, which is working perfectly. But I have this error in my project and I could not find it. If I take JQuery the error does not happen. Here is my JQuery import that is being done in the 'head' and is calling the JQuery file from within one of my project directories. Here are the calls that are inside the 'head' tag:
