Remember that Windows 7 Home does not recognise more than 16GB in RAM. In this case my Windows 7 Ultimate does read the 24GB but only shows that it can only use 16GB. I have solved this by opening the computer case and removing all the RAM slots. Then instead of inserting them again in the same sequence I have interleaved them one by one, and as they are not in pairs the Motherboard allocates them correctly.

Believe me, I was already beaten with everything I had done to fix it, and this last one did work. I hope it's of your help too! Regards! ♥

The operating system must be 64-bit, not 32-bit, for it to recognise the amount of memory installed. Windows 7 Pro usually recognises the amount of memory as long as it is 64-bit. You also have to validate in the motherboard documentation if a bios update is needed.

It must be because your operating system is 32bit, try 64.
