If you want to run programs on another version of windows, first try going to application properties and then in the compatibility tab choose from the compatibility mode, the version you want to run it on. If the program only exists for that version of the operating system and the compatibility mode did not work, you can always download a virtual machine (I recommend virtualBox) that you will have to run by downloading the operating system (windows xp in your case) as an .iso file.
