If there is Windows 7, Windows 8, even Windows 8.1 and now Windows 10, why isn't there a Windows 9?

Hello, one of the reasons being handled is that windows 95 and 98 were abbreviated within the code of later versions as windows 9, for backward compatibility purposes, another is that they felt that as windows 10 was going to be completely different from the other versions, they would skip to a 2-digit number, they have also said that windows 10 will be the last numbered version of windows.
