Hello,
First of all I'm sorry for the title I could not think of anything more specific, I'll elaborate my question below.
Currently I'm in a project that involves a motion sensor (for now a kinect) that seeks to recognize the user's arm and use it to move a 3d mesh of it.
Looking at what these apps like snapchat work I could see that they have 2 kinect functions of the 3 that interest me.
First: Recognize a user's surface. Second: Be able to follow this surface.
I think the third one does not have it, that would be the ability to recognize depth but I may be wrong.
Now my doubts are:
Can I use the same method of such applications to be able to use my smartphone as an arm sensor?
2- If so, what level of complexity are we talking about?
3- Is this face-finding feature inherent in your smartphone hardware making it impossible to make changes?
That's all, thank you from now on for trying to help me.
