MSTSC Remote Server Desktop Does Not Connect

I created a VPN server in Windows Server 2012 R2 to enable remote access to my users, when they are connected in the VPN their local internet does not work on behalf of the VPN, so I went on each laptop and on the VPN connection I disabled the gateway remote. It happens that some notebooks need to access the server via the terminal and with the gateway disabled the terminal does not connect. How can I solve this without leaving the notebooks without the local internet?
