Error installing Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows Desktop

0

I tried to install VS Express 2013 for Windows Desktop on my notebook that had just been formatted and installed Windows 8.

I received a message in the setup requesting pre-requisites.

Before starting to install the prerequisites, I decided to upgrade the OS to Windows 8.1. Still the problem persisted, but this time the setup called for another prerequisite.

I was installing as he (the setup) was asking ... Until it was an hour I got nervous and installed VS 2013 Ultimate with Blend (hoping to install all the necessary prerequisites). After that installation I reinstalled the Express for Windows Desktop setup and now the setup simply says something like "Could not install VS Express 2013 for Windows Desktop: Invalid Argument" or "Execution Failure" (I can not remember the exact error, I'll edit the question when I get home, but it does not go too far from that.)

Has anyone ever suffered from this or do you have any idea how to solve it?

PS: VS Ultimate with Blend works ...

Thanks!

If your file is

wdexpress_full.exe

Verify that MD5 is the same as this:
