Copy SMS messages received by iPhone

I am wondering if there is a way to access SMS messages already received by the iPhone. If there is something like having access to contacts.

I did not find anything talking about whether it is possible or not. But it is not for theft app no. It's an idea I had for a new app.

As can be seen in this answer , it is not possible to intercept / read SMS due to privacy issues, at least in one sample that has not gone through the process of jailbreak. The only thing your app can do related to SMS, according to Apple's proposal, is to send SMSs.
