Domain redirection for physical server with fixed ip

0

Good evening,

I have a fixed IP server with internet access running IIS 8 on Windows 2012 and I have a domain registered on locaweb name.testing.com. In the locaweb I redirect the domain to the fixed ip and the redirect works correctly, however in my address bar the ip appears. What should I do forever in the address bar to appear only name. I tried setting up IIS Rewrite Url on my server, but I still have not succeeded. Can anyone help me?

You do not need a redirection. And a note.

I do not know the Locaweb settings, but what you should look for is somewhere that talks about DNS zone management in the Locaweb settings panel and create a record of tipo A pointing to your fixed IP.

Be sure to search for this on the Locaweb wiki: DNS zone management.

You have to set up "Site Bindings" in IIS.

  • Open IIS.
  • Do not right-click the site.
  • Click "Site Associations," and add the address you mentioned
    (name.test.mycompany.com) with the HTTP type.
  • More information.
