Maximum size of QRcode

I'm implementing a QRcodes reader and generator in a project and it came to my mind, how long can a QRcode store?

Would I get something around 3 pages of text?

I do not quite understand, you wonder how much storage a QRCODE can hold? if yes

  • Numeric - max. 7089 characters
  • Alphanumeric - max. 4296 characters
  • Binary (8 bits) - max. 2953 bytes
  • Kanji / Kana - max. 1817 characters
