I'm trying to put my application in the air, but I have no idea which way to go.

It is a server developed in grails, I already generated the .war and it runs on tomcat7, when access locally and or other machines of the same network it is working.

But for me to access from another machine anywhere in the world I know that I have to configure the route on the edge server of my network, in case I have pfsense installed

But when I access this ip through port 8080 nothing is found, what is missing that I configure? Do I have to have any dns registered?
