Links does not work in menu

I have a problem with my concert menu I did it with HTML and CSS pure but I will have to link some PDF'f to can open in a new guide co target="_blank" but I create the links normally and the my menu simply closes when I click on my link and it does not open the PDF I do not know why this happens follows my code:

NOTE: I am using JSF my page is in XHTML and my PDF files are in the folder of my project they are not from an external link.

That's why in your CSS there is a li:focus , I believe because of the click function. Swap with li:hover . But if you still want to CLICK , import a jQuery to your code and make the code below. 

$(document).ready(function(){

    $('.menu-sanfona li').on('click', function(){
        $(this).children('ul').slideToggle();
    });

});

And delete CSS from this routine: 

.menu-sanfona li:focus ul {
  display: block;
