There are no great differences in just corrections and improvements, in fact, Angular 4 is Angular 2.
The first version of the framework was AngularJS written in Javascript. then appeared Angular without JS, is the new version of the framework, written in Typescript. Here the version assignment form has been changed to (2.x, 3.x, 4.x, below). It does not mean that there is a lack of compatibility with the previous version.
