1) What is Ergonomics?

Ergonomics (or "human factors") is the scientific discipline related to understanding the interactions between humans and other elements of a system, and it is also the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design the order to optimize human well-being and the overall performance of a system. Ergonomists contribute to the design and evaluation of tasks, jobs, products, environments and systems in order to make them compatible with people's needs, abilities and limitations.
