Visual Studio 2010 and Connection with Access Bank

My Visual Studio 2010 (10.0.40219.1 SP1Rel) is popping the following error message when I try to create a connection to an Access database (Office 2010):

  

The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.

I have already updated the data access components (MDAC 2.8 SP1) and manually logged the MSJET40.dll files from both the SysWOW64 folder and the System32 folder and even after several attempts the problem persists.

Any suggestions?

It seems that this problem occurs in x64 versions. Try installing the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable .
