I installed some of the versions of mongodb in a Macbook with Yosemite 10.10.2 and both using homebrew, and installing manually, all gave the same error except the 1.4.4 which is very old, already installed and I do not care much :
$ mongo

The last one says he found the solution updating the server version, but I also have no idea how it worked for him, I certainly forgot something.
Has anyone ever had this problem?
