joomla 3 - SEARCH system does not work

I'm trying to use joomla-3's search system but it always ends up giving this error:

  

TPL_SEARCH_ERROR_SEARCH_NOT_FOUND .

Can anyone tell me what it's all about and how do I resolve it?
