Scalability with Java [closed]

I now hear a lot about how some languages are highly scalable. But what would a scalable system be in Java ? That is, a high-performance system capable of withstanding millions of simultaneous accesses. It's possible? Or it would be more feasible to use one of those new languages that hold great promise as in NodeJS .
