Automated Backup in SQL Server Express

1

In my current scenario I have a Windows service that runs in the background that at a specified time by me, runs a batch / em> and saves it to the dropbox folder. But what happens is that the dropbox is not always allowed to access the internet due to user permissions.

To get an outlet I search the internet and found this Free Sql Server Express Backup Utility site, which is free , and a paid tool, which is Sql Backup and FTP ....

My question is this: did anyone use these softwares ? Are they reliable? Is there an alternative I can use?

* Only at the same information level, I want to use a utility that backs up and plays right into my FTP, because FTP does not need permission from user *.

I used both. They are great automated backup tools for SqlServer. But I chose to use SqlBackupANdFTP , because it is easier to tweak and have more features.

With the purchase of the license more options can be purchased, but the free one already attends to almost all cases where an automated backup is needed.

There is no dependency on windows, so if windows reboots, the tool comes back on its own, without human interference.

I'm an active user of backups, so I insist on this post. I always work with at least 2 environments: dev and prod (also for database). I only take to production what is legal in dev. I keep backups of these environments and more carefully for dev (as incredible as it seems), because that's where I move the most. Back up! And do not leave in a single place, so little in the same place where the objects are being "backed up". Leave in one or two units of the network. Organize an external disk in another workstation and back it up. Pack up an older PC just to get backups ... AND TEST THEM! Do disaster simulations constantly.
