I have a web application running on a computer on my local network. This application is accessed by cell phones connected to my network via wi-fi using the IP address of the server's application machine. For ease of access, I set up a computer as a DNS server with a domain pointing to that computer, so that people could access it with a name like aplicacao.com.br/app
. Everything works perfectly.
Is there any way to do this DNS service via router? I've implemented the DNS server for testing, but if I can avoid this cost it would be great as well as taking a piece out of the puzzle that can eventually cause problems if it stops working for some reason. The fewer intermediates the better.
