Google Analytics and cookies [closed]

My question is: I'm developing a website and I want to monitor analytics with Google Analytics, however I've been reading some articles about cookies and I did not realize if I need to program my website with some kind of cookies to be able to future use the tool to google, or if I simply do not need to do anything on my website.
