I'm setting up a Linux Ubuntu machine with a Chrome interface with cinnamon 3, but they are not able to make Google Chrome open a proxy authentication window, I know that Google Chrome uses a proxy authentication system other than Firefox be set directly in the browser's config) as it pulls the OS proxy
I am using a proxy.pac (also tried the address and port) with the settings of my proxy, when I add the file in the system proxy, chrome recognizes the file but does not open the authentication window.
I got setup in apt.conf, also in / etc / profile. I also set the shortcut --proxy-server="IP proxy server: port" to the shortcut, but without success.
The strange thing is that in KDE it works with both .pac and server: port, in gnome it works only with the server: port (both configured in the system proxy options) but in cinnamon it does not work with any of the two modes.
In Chromium I saw that there are people who could use it. Has anyone experienced this and managed to get around the problem?
Thank you.
