I have a problem with backing up and restoring data from a MySQL database. I generated a backup of the data using mysqldump to format the pc and install a new operating system.
It turns out that now I'm trying to restore the data, however, I can not. I am using the MySQL console with the command { source arquivo.sql }, but it does not restore. No mistake it gives.
What strikes me is that the file has data (the file size is 200MB), but when you open it through the notepad, for example, nothing appears. It's as if the file has only blanks. I can even select the whitespace.
Has anyone ever experienced something like this?
I do not know if my explanation was clear.
