Keyword in domain or directory?

I've been reading about SEO and hit the doubt. Do you now have a domain with some keyword worth or just add that word to some directory?

Example of keyword: Polo shirt

The site would look better if it were:

sweatshirt .com

or

nomedosite.com/ polo shirt

If google does not index the site name because it does not contain the keyword in the domain it is worth doing a redirect to nomedosite.com/campaign-polo as default instead of nomedosite.com?

And the last question is true that the keyword in the domain is considered black hat?

Rafael,

The use of the keyword in the domain name is not considered Black Hat. The point is that this was once a ranking factor that gave a lot of feedback and Google ended up changing the algorithm.

It is good practice to have the keyword in the URL or to the domain.

If you have any questions about Black Hat practices, see this article .

According to your example, Polo Shirt is the brand name or is it one of the products that the site will contain?

If it is one of the products, I suggest following it:

nomedosite.com/camisa-polo

Just as you can do with the other products.

I also suggest using the Google Tool > Google WebMasters Tool to check and track site indexing. You can also identify if there are any bugs that need fixing.

I hope I have helped!
