Starting SQL Server 2008 Express r2

1

Well, I have a problem: I formatted my computer and I can not start SQL Server 2008 Express R2. When I click on the icon to boot the following message appears:

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio - An error occurred while trying to access the license validation file. Reinstall Sql Server to fix this.

I installed SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio.

I've reinstalled several times and it does not work. Someone help me, please?

Files used for installation:

  • SQLEXPR_x64_ENU.exe
  • SQLManagementStudio_x64_ENU.exe

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

The 2008 release of SQL Server presents a list of issues for newer operating systems . It is possible to install, but it involves a series of steps that are avoidable if you go to a newer version of SQL Server.

The 2012 and 2014 versions do not present any impediment for you to develop. Try installing one instead of installing in 2008.
