Form flashing when setting upper border

The code that follows is an (unfinished) component, a label , that I was trying to do. The idea was to create a label in which I could define margins, paddings and borders, and for edges the thickness is common to all and I can define the presence or not (from the top border, right border, bottom border and left border ).

I left the rewriting of the paint method last which, in the case, I have not yet finished because I detected that when instantiating an object of my class ( TMyLabel ) and defining the presence of one of the edges (upper edge, for example) by the Boolean property borderTop and the common thickness (at all borders) via integer property borderWidth , the form blinks.

Commented on the row where I specify a value for the border thickness ( borderWidth := valor ) or in which I define the presence of the upper border ( borderTop := true ), the form does not flash anymore. I looked at the methods (setters) associated with the two properties and did not find the error.

My intuition said that the flashing form could only be error in looping or in recursive procedure / function call, which is not the case. If anyone can help me, I would be grateful.
