I made a site in Joomla and we are deploying on the client server (UOL HOST) but I came across a problem.
The old site was inside the ftp folder: domain.com.br/web
We put the files in another folder and upload the new content to that folder. When accessing everything was ok, however with a problem: In the URL of the site began to show these ftp directories in the link:
www.dominio.com.br/var/www/dominio.com.br/web
In Joomla we have the option to enable mod_rewrite from the server so that the url is friendly. So this URL would be hidden.
It turns out that inside the server this did not happen.
Within the site folder, we sent a .htaccess file that we used on other clients and just changed the url, but nothing happened either.
If in Joomla I disable the mod_rewrite option, all this folder directory disappears, however it gets that famous "index.php" replacing in place and the other urls get "dirty", so I can not leave it like this. >
We wanted to keep the URL scheme friendly, but with that ftp link hidden in the URL.
I have tried to play the site in the root folder (outside of this domain.com / web) and it's the same thing, it adds that of "var / www /" in the URL.
I also tried to enter UOL Host to see if there was a way to disable or change this FTP root folder, but without success.
Does anyone have any idea what it might be?
I do not have much knowledge of configuring servers, but I followed the pattern of others we did and I did not have this problem. As UOL Host is different from the others we host, I believe it is something in the hosting.
Just for the sake of knowledge, I'm putting down how my .htaccess is
