Virtual Machine does not share folder [closed]

1

Problem:

Usage Virtual Box and MVWare in both programs can not share folder, using the internal option of Pasta Compartilha .

Look at the images for a better understanding of the problem:

Photo 2: Where the sharing I was supposed to appear on   process.

Doubt:

Why can not I find the folder that is shared?

Note: Network sharing is not trivial since Virtual Box and VMWare allow internal sharing. Mostro   the /mnt/hfgs directory, I found the folder there when I started using   the Virtual Machine and today I can not find it anymore.

Solution in VirtualBOX:

About GuestAdditions: Guest Additions

We have to do the following:

VirtualBox Guest Additions for all operating systems   supported guests are provided as a CD image file   -ROM only that is called VBoxGuestAdditions.iso. This image file is located in the VirtualBox installation directory. For   install GuestInfo for a particular VM, you   mount this ISO file in your VM as a virtual CD-ROM and install the   from there.

Mounting CD-ROM drive in virtual machine

Mount the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso that is in the C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox folder (on my computer) inside your Virtual Machine folder to go in the settings of it. Look at the image.

Startinginstallation

StartthevirtualmachineandgototheCD-ROMdrivethatlookslikethenameVBoxGuestAdditionsgettingthereexecuteautorun.shchooseoption"Run in Terminal" note the terminal image being installed.

Note: When the installation is complete, restart the Virtual Machine.

ViewingSharedFolder

Lookattheimagewherethesharedfolderis:

Image 3: In this photo we can see the folder that is shared.

Image color caption 3:

  • Red - Folder where the shares are
  • Green - Shared folder in [your VM > Settings > Folder Shared]
  • Blue - CD-ROM containing VBoxGuestAdditions.iso . [your VM > Settings > Storage]

Note: I have always accessed the share folder in /mnt/hfgs , however   I ended up finding it now in /media as the image follows. This process solved my problem, I hope it helps everyone.

To work, Install Guest Additions

link

This will enable this form of operating system integration that is running within the Virtual Machine with the Virtual Box feature.

Another way is to share the folder normally in the Operating System inside the Virtual Machine, and access it through a network share, as if it were a normal PC on the network, using

\NomeDoPC\PastaCompartilhada
