When I try to start an AVD with Android 4.0+ on Windows of my two notebooks does not work, but with Linux it works.
The screen goes black, it does not even enter the opening screen of Android even leaving it open for hours. I've never been able to make it work, I think it's something you have to do ...

I did a brief tutorial on how to create a partition in AVD.
1 - Always Run AVD as a Windows Administrator.
2º-ClickNewtocreateaEmulatorpartition.
3rd - Set it to your Criteria, but I always recommend it in " AVD Name " for the version of Android where the API strong>.
Ex: 4.1.2
4th-GiveSTARTtoyourEmulator.
