How to import a .er1 file extension into CA Data Modeling

2

I need to import an .er1 file from an older version of Erwin into CA Data Modeling (Community Edition).

Is this possible?

I tried to open it directly and the "Import" options to no avail.

Thanks for any help?

According to the survey the response is No , CA Data Modeling (Community Edition) no longer supports the format .er1 .

Unfortunately, CA ERwin Data Modeler Community Edition (CE) can not   open ".er1" files. That is one of the limitations in this product   version You'll have to convert the file to a ".erwin" file using the   commercial version of the product. Another approach is to FE the   ".er1" model using an appropriate version of CA ERwin Data Modeler and   then RE using CA ERwin Data Modeler CE. More information on CA ERwin   Data Modeler CE is located at: www.ca.com/erwin/community.

I have read, you should find some program that can open this extension, save as xml and then try to import CA Data Modeling (Community Edition).
