Problems with IReports

Lately I'm creating some reports for my application using Jasper Reports (IReports), but I've come across some problems.

Today I am using the plugin for Netbeans but at one moment it accuses an error and it does not allow me to record the changes made, another time does not realize preview I wanted to know and I discovered that a certain version had a bug, but I would like only I'm going through these problems, or there is a solution or fix for this case.

I already tried using the plugins of Version 5.6.0 and version 3.7.5 but with no success.

Dude, I'm also using this plugin, in my case the environment is Linux (Ubuntu 15.04) , the plugin iReport 5.5.0 and the NetBeans 8.0.2 , I consider this plugin to be stable even though problems similar to those reported by you happen occasionally.

In my case sometimes when I do the preview the same does not work, in these cases there is always an error in the report that prevents its rendering, so the preview does not work, I can find the error more easily running a unit test who manages the report.

For me the only bug I get is that sometimes when I'm going to directly change the report XML it crashes the XML edit, then I have to close the report and reopen.

I no longer consider it a good plugin, I use it daily and solve my problems.
