Dude, the exception that is returning from your BD is clear, failed to authenticate the root user, try connecting through another client or MKYONG code ( link ), very simple, just to validate if it's your app or your bank!

  • Verify that the root user has the access permission
  • Verify root is unlocked (may have been blocked) (If it is locked, and after unlocking it it again locks up when running the application, it may be that some protection has been enabled, just reduce the pool and use a pooled datasource).
  • Last case, reinstall DB.
